Performance Notes and Setup Guidance

• Carbon fiber is electrically conductive. Isolate antenna wire from the mast to reduce coupling, detuning, pattern changes and loss.
• The 2.72 kg [6 lb] rating is not approval for every load. Reduce the load as extension height, antenna surface area or wind increases, and guy the mast whenever conditions require it.
• Use only a documented mounting path. Do not use a Chameleon Universal Clamp Mount or Chameleon Jaw Mount, and do not stack Chameleon CFM-34 HD masts.
• For Chameleon MPAS 2.0 MIL Whip plus MIL EXT and MPAS Lite/BV with SS17, guy whenever any mast section is extended and extend no more than three sections, approximately 5.8 m [19 ft].
• For Chameleon SS25 vertical and TDL configurations, always guy the mast and extend no more than two sections, approximately 4.3 m [14 ft].
• Guying is recommended above three extended sections for Chameleon TD 2.0, EMCOMM II V2/III Base and B3D 120/147 configurations. Guy the Chameleon LEFS 8010 with 80 m extension above three extended sections.
• Keep the mast and attached antenna away from power lines and utility wires. Consult the current product user guide before deployment.
